Trust In Music returns with another bumper package for all drum and bass fans out there, in the shape of the 6 track ‘Mechanicum EP’ from fast rising Austrian producer Wreckage Machinery.
‘Repercussions’ sees Wreckage team up with long time US compatriot Logam to produce a classic slice of dancefloor neuro; locked together atmospheric stabs and keys start proceedings before launching you into a sonic assault of full weight drums, china percussion and a huge mid range bass to bring it all together.
‘Zodiac’ sees the man team up with another fast rising Austrian producer, Mefjus. The deep intro, complete with tight vocal snippets and bell percussion lures you in before the drop savages your senses with a pumping yet full of life mix, tight drop outs, high wire synths and funk bass, taking you on a journey of epic proportions.
Next up is ‘Forbidden’, our first glimpse of the solo Wreckage sound. A filmic intro and soft organic drums build the tension, before lush choral stabs interwoven with synth textures work hand in hand with solid and well balanced drums and bass to bring a classic slab of deep, yet weighty neurofunk.
‘Rampage’, co written with Zeal and Litta does exactly what it says on the tin, running riot with full sonics. A massive half time intro with haunting pads and FX soon gives into a huge stabby hook with rising bass every 16 bars to keep the energy truly at 110%.
Wreckage then brings the funk with ‘Neckbreaker’, a tight yet bouncy b-line teamed with some serious Electro-esque FX, rolling drums and a well constructed synth lead line that makes this one suitable for any hour of the night.
This huge EP is brought together with ‘Close to Chaos’, collaboration with fellow Austrian producer Bowser. It draws you in deep with a haunting intro, but then back to life with an invitingly uplifting vibe, intertwined with thought provoking vocals, bleeps and a huge hook before some serious edits come in to really cause chaos on the dancefloor.
