Malsum is a drum & bass project created in 2006 by Spanish producers Marc & Ibrah.
Coming from the dark side, the main goal of Malsum is to develop a personal trademark sound they can call their own: an organic feel, mixed with a big dose of groove and soul. Their biggest influences inside drum and bass are Neurofunk and Technoid, where the speed, the heavy drums and the talking synths speak for themselves.
Their high octane DJ sets and live acts have been resonating in places like Portugal, Germany and Italy aswell as on home soil, receiving a very good response from the crowd.
The duo have published their music on labels such as Melting Pot Records (SP), Trust in Music (GER), Cyclone (UK), Mutacube (SP), Ruse (UK) and Flight (USA) amongst others. Moreover, their remix of the track "Prism" (Trust in Music) was included in a CD of the prestigious Knowledge Magazine (UK) which was mixed by the mythical german producer The Green Man.
Malsum productions have received support from the likes of Black Sun Empire, Concord Dawn, Jade, Rusher, Survival, Billain and Krone amongst others.
Their passion for music has driven them to collaborate on several audiovisual projects aswell as producing other artists from various musical horizons. Now, they are also making music under other aliases: Affkt, Renace, Kid Bucle and B300.
